Those of us lucky enough to live in the Western World are experiencing a time of unprecedented material wealth, comfort and peace but Australians know that all is not right with our country and the world. We are more divided as a nation than ever and are feeling increasingly disillusioned and disempowered. We have lost our sense of mateship and mutual trust and many seem to react on ignorance rather than knowledge. How can we inspire the next generation with the original ideas and philosophy that formed the West and also refresh the narrative by addressing the challenges facing Australians today: spiraling cost of living, declining home ownership, economic stagnation, energy security, poor education outcomes, mental illness and pessimism about the future?
