Economic Growth and Policy Reform for Indigenous Australians

Join us for our first event of 2025 on 29 January in Sydney, where we’ll discuss the future of Indigenous policy in Australia.

Senator for South Australia, Kerrynne Liddle, and Nyunggai Warren Mundine will address key issues, including Indigenous economic development, Native Title, the contribution of private enterprise, and practical reform. Senator Liddle will deliver an address before participating in a conversation and Q&A session with CIS Indigenous Program Director Nyunggai Warren Mundine. Drawing on her extensive experience in Indigenous affairs and policymaking, Senator Liddle will share her perspectives on economic empowerment, policy reform, and the role of government in advancing Indigenous communities.

Kerrynne Liddle was elected as a Senator for South Australia in 2022 and was appointed Shadow Minister for Child Protection and the Prevention of Family Violence within a year. She serves on the Joint Standing Committee for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs and has held senior roles across various industries, including tourism, energy, and education.

Nyunggai Warren Mundine is the Indigenous Program Director at CIS. He is a writer, media commentator, event speaker, and businessman focused on Australian economic reform and Indigenous empowerment. With over 40 years of experience in public, business, policy, arts, and community sectors, he is dedicated to building regional and Indigenous economies.
