Join us online on Tuesday, 11 February for a conversation with MOTU economist Stuart Donovan. This livestream will be moderated by CIS Chief Economist, Peter Tulip.
Over the past decade, New Zealand’s policy reforms have fuelled a housing construction boom. This is estimated to have reduced rents by 28% in Auckland and by 21% in Lower Hutt, relative to what they would have been otherwise. In new CIS research, Stuart Donovan discusses the reforms and their impact on young people, affordability, and relevance to Australia. The research paper will be available for download on 11 February on Publications – The Centre for Independent Studies.
